About Alex

Out of the firm's Charleston office, Alex brings a thorough and practical approach to advising his clients and litigating cases. He focuses on professional liability, especially in construction litigation, and personal injury defense, but also has wider experience in several other areas of law, including business litigation and propane gas.

Alex graduated from Wofford College in 2011 with a B.A. in Business Economics and a minor in Government. He was heavily involved in his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, serving as both Philanthropy and Social Chairs. He was also the President of Wofford's Pre-Law Society. Alex graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2014. There, he received the CALI Awards for Evidence and Worker’s Compensation, and the award for Best Oral Advocate. Alex was also a member of the Moot Court Bar and the Order of the Wig and Robe, and received the Irving Steinberg Award.

Reported matters in which Alex has been involved include: Hampton Hall, LLC v. Chapman Coyle Chapman & Associates Architects AIA, Inc., 2017 WL 6622508 (D.S.C. 2017); and BEI-Beach, LLC v. Christman, 889 S.E.2d 601 (S.C. Ct. App. 2023).

Alex and his wife, Robyn, have now lived in Charleston for several years, and enjoy watching sporting events, frequenting Charleston’s restaurants and concerts, and traveling. Alex serves on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney’s Association, and is also a member of the Charleston County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute.
