About Emma

Emma is an Associate in the firm’s Spartanburg office, practicing in the areas of professional liability defense, construction litigation, and general litigation.

 

Emma graduated, magna cum laude, from Furman University in 2020 with a B.A. in Educational Studies and Religion. She went on to attend Duke University School of Law. At Duke, she served as the Director of Administration for the Duke Immigrants and Refugees Project, a 1L Representative and Events Coordinator for the Government and Public Service Society, and a Research Assistant. Additionally, she was awarded the Alexandra D. Korry L’86 Civil Rights Fellowship and earned the Public Interest & Public Service Law Certificate prior to graduation. Before joining our firm, Emma worked as a business immigration associate in Austin, Texas, helping corporate clients obtain and maintain status and work authorization for foreign employees in the U.S.

 

Emma recently moved back to the Upstate and is thrilled to be back in South Carolina and closer to her family in Georgia. Outside of work, Emma enjoys running and has qualified for the Boston Marathon. She also enjoys reading, spending time with her cat, Mia, and is a certified yoga instructor.
